Keynote Presentation: Coal in an Uncertain World

Commodity Insights were proud to lead the analyst session, as a part of the Asia Pacific Carbon Connect conference last month that brought together coal industry leaders. 

Joined by over 100 attendees, guests experienced a compelling market presentation from Commodity Insights’ Director and Founder Mark Gresswell, who reminded the audience that Commodity Insights had been the only market analyst group that correctly called the current record coal bull market, way back in March 2021 when prices were depressed – illustrating the independence and accuracy of Commodity Insights’ research.

This was followed by a synopsis of recent research into the buying and selling psychology in coal markets by Commodity Insights’ Director of Research and Consulting Dr Matt Anderson. Reflecting on the findings, Matt suggested that given the current buying and selling processes, that the Australian coal industry could achieve even higher margins through a coordinated industry brand that would see Australian coal leverage its superior quality in the NetZero emissions world.
