Mark has over 20 years’ experience as a resource and mining consultant in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the United States, including 5 years at Rio Tinto and 12 years as an independent market consultant.  

Mark has led international consulting teams in the mining sector, and delivered over 150 assignments including strategic country commodity studies on China, India, SE Asia, Indonesia, Russia and Canada for international mining, investment and infrastructure clients. He is a regular speaker at international market events, and is often commissioned by private sector clients to address senior management and boards on market developments. Mark’s significant commodity market experience includes global market analysis, country studies, pricing forecasts, demand and supply modelling, strategic analysis and asset/market due diligence for asset transactions. He has also acted as an Expert Witness on a number of legal cases in the mining sector.
